Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) – In-Person

Contract Duration: Mid-October 2025 through Mid-June 2026

Position Summary:
Anne Arundel County Public Schools is seeking an in-person Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) to support students who are blind or visually impaired. This position will begin in mid-October and extend through the end of the school year.

Qualifications:

* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education with endorsement or certification in Visual Impairment.
* Maryland State Teaching Certification (or eligibility).
* Experience working with blind or visually impaired students preferred.
* Proficiency with Braille, assistive tech, and accommodations for VI students.

Responsibilities:

* Provide direct instruction to students with visual impairments across grade levels.
* Adapt curriculum materials and utilize assistive technology tools.
* Collaborate with classroom teachers and support staff.
* Develop and monitor Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
